Night of Light 2020

A wake-up call for our event industry

As a wake-up call to politicians and decision makers, our partners blueVISION - Media Networks and JAM-SOUND Veranstaltungstechnik sent a bright signal into the night on 22.06.2020 after dark. The entire Göltzschtal Bridge was illuminated in alarming red that evening. The Göltzschtal Bridge in the Vogtland district of Saxony is the largest brick bridge in the world. The viaduct with a total of 98 arches is considered the landmark of the Vogtland region.
As a part of the event industry K.M.E. supports the "Night of Light" campaign, which took place simultaneously throughout Germany. Event technicians and supporters illuminated buildings in the colour red to point out the plight of the entire event industry caused by the current crisis.

According to the initiators of Night of Light, around 1 million people in Germany are directly employed in the industry. Since major events are expected to remain banned at least until the end of August, many companies now see their existence threatened. The goal of the campaign is to enter into a dialogue with politicians in the context of an industry dialogue on how the billion-euro industry of the event industry can be saved from a massive wave of insolvencies.

We would like to thank our partners JAM-SOUND Veranstaltungstechnik and blueVISION - Media Networks, who implemented the campaign.

Stay healthy and strong!
