Swiss wrestling festival Burgdorf 2024

From July 31 to August 11, 2024, Burgdorf, Switzerland, was a magnet for thousands of visitors who attended the wrestling competitions in addition to the parade with traditional costumes, animals and lots of tradition. The mobile arena had a diameter of around 80 meters and was sold out with 11,756 spectators. For the sound system in the arena, WHITELIGHT Veranstaltungstechnik AG used 32 K.M.E. VLX 12 attached to rear masts. K.M.E. VLX 8 were used for monitoring. K.M.E. DA 428 and DA 230 were used as power amplifiers.

For non-Swiss people: Schwingen is the name given to a duel between two strong wrestlers, with their own rules, grips and swings. The "Bösen" (the best wrestlers) known throughout Switzerland compete at small and large wrestling festivals. The Swiss wrestling king is chosen every three years at the Federal Wrestling and Alpine Festivals.
